Audi and Ducati have once more chosen to engage in a drag race, albeit with a significant twist this time.
Ducati and Audi are familiar with staging head-to-head drag race challenges, yet this latest version introduced a considerable twist.
You might anticipate that I would mention the race included both a rider and a driver possessing comparable levels of experience and skill with their respective vehicles. However, this challenge was markedly different from that.
Instead, Audi and Ducati enlisted the top two MotoGP riders of 2025, who coincidentally are brothers. Alex and Marc Marquez were summoned to compete against one another, but more significantly, to take on the Ducati Panigale V4 S and the Audi RS e-tron GT.
Drag races involving motorcycles and cars can be quite captivating to observe, and they often lead to intense competition between the rider and the driver, which was once again evident in this video clip.
You might recall a story we discussed around October 2024, when these same two vehicles faced off against each other. On that occasion, it was Ducati’s test and development rider, Alessandro Valia, competing against Carwow’s Mat Watson.
The races in question were characterized by their brevity, speed, and intense competition, with the new Panigale V4 S ultimately outperforming the Audi.
In this instance, both motorcycles were in entirely stock condition once more, with Marc and Alex each taking a turn on the Panigale V4 S as well as the RS e-tron GT.
Marc Marquez commenced the event by riding the Panigale V4 S, while his brother operated the Audi. The four-wheeled vehicle achieved a significantly better start; however, Marc leveraged the Panigale’s 216bhp and remarkable power-to-weight ratio, which is twice that of the Audi, to ultimately catch up to the car by the finish line.
The photo finish that occurred was subsequently replicated in the second run when the two competitors exchanged machines. By viewing the video below (which is in Spanish), you can determine for yourself whether the Panigale V4 S outperformed the RS e-tron GT.
