Luke Littler broke Michael van Gerwen’s record to become the youngest individual to win the World Darts Championship, decisively defeating the three-time champion in the final held at Ally Pally.
An overwhelmed Luke Littler expressed that all his aspirations had been realized following his triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the World Darts Championship final, acknowledging that his near miss in 2024 motivated him to achieve this victory.

“I gained significant insights,” Littler remarked to Sky Sports. “In last year’s semifinals against Rob Cross, it was the first instance where I found myself trailing 1-0, and then, of course, against Luke [Humphries].
“However, this evening and throughout the tournament, my focus was on making a strong start. Earlier today, I reviewed the entire match against Luke, and I had the clarity of vision…”
“Anything is possible,” he replied when asked about what might happen in 2025. “I could finish the year without any wins, but I’ve already secured the best [prize]. My goal is to achieve more than 10 titles this year, but even if I end 2025 empty-handed, I’ve already claimed the big one.”

Everyone aspires to win this trophy. It requires overcoming a challenging competition. I can hardly believe it. I keep mentioning it, but that initial match against Ryan Meikle in the second round was crucial, and from that point on, I found my rhythm.
