Michael Schumacher’s daughter’s wedding guests had strict rule to follow in ‘his presence’

Reports from Germany indicated that it was “highly probable” that Formula 1 icon Michael Schumacher was present at the wedding of his daughter Gina-Maria in Majorca last weekend.

Attendees of the wedding of Michael Schumacher’s daughter last weekend were required to adhere to a specific guideline.

Gina-Maria Schumacher married her new spouse, Iain Bethke, on Saturday. The ceremony took place in the presence of friends and family at the Schumachers’ £27 million villa in Majorca, a property previously owned by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

The family has maintained a tight-knit group over the past ten years, largely due to Corinna Schumacher’s strong desire to protect her husband’s privacy following the life-altering skiing accident in December 2013. Since then, the Formula 1 icon has been on a long road to recovery.

However, many people outside this close circle attended the wedding in Majorca, including Ralf Schumacher, who has been somewhat distanced from his brother’s family in recent years. Interestingly, German media suggested that it was “very likely” Michael was brought to the Spanish island to witness his daughter’s special moment as she walked down the aisle.

Outsiders have been prohibited from accessing specific information regarding Schumacher’s condition, and the family has also restricted the taking of photographs of him. To ensure compliance with these regulations during the wedding, all guests were required to adhere to a crucial directive.

According to Bild, every individual attending the ceremony was mandated to surrender their phones to security personnel at the entrance. The only photographs permitted at the wedding were to be captured by the official photographer, who was likely given stringent instructions to avoid taking any images of the ailing F1 icon.

At the age of 55, Schumacher sustained his injuries over a decade ago due to a skiing accident off-piste in the French Alps. He collided with a rock and was subsequently airlifted to a hospital, where he underwent surgery and was placed in a medically induced coma to alleviate the swelling in his brain.

Michael Schumacher’s journey has been incredibly challenging, as he endured serious and life-altering injuries. In September 2014, he was able to return to his family home by Lake Geneva, where he has mostly stayed since, receiving care from his wife and a dedicated medical team. Only a few trusted individuals are permitted to visit him.

Recently, it was believed that he attended his daughter’s wedding, which might be the first time in years that Corinna has allowed anyone outside their close circle to see him. There could be another special event coming up, as their son Mick may also be on the verge of getting engaged.

Mick’s long-time girlfriend, model Laila Hasanovic, shared a photo on social media showcasing a ring on her engagement finger, suggesting that Mick might have proposed. However, there has been no official confirmation of the engagement, and the former Haas F1 driver has not yet commented publicly on the matter.
