Phil Mickelson loves sharing his knowledge about the game, and it was evident once again when he recently gave some bunker game insights to LIV Golf fellow Bryson DeChambeau.
Mickelson and DeChambeau participated in the LIV Golf Adelaide tournament not long ago, but unfortunately, they didn’t perform exceptionally well on an individual level. Nevertheless, the HyFlyers GC, led by Phil, managed to secure their first podium finish by securing the third position in the team segment.
After the event, Crusher GC, led by DeChambeau, shared a video on Twitter showcasing the 53-year-old golf veteran providing bunker tips to the 2020 US Open champion. Here’s the video:

Fans were amazed by the exceptional skills displayed by the six-time major champion in his short game, and they took to social media to shower him with praise. Nevertheless, a handful of individuals raised concerns about his failure to adhere to his own advice during the LIV Golf Adelaide tournament. Here’s a look at some of the reactions:
“Phil is a legend,” one fan wrote.

One fan praised both golfers and wrote:
“I love the fact that Phil still likes to teach, and I love the fact that Bryson is always open to improving his game!”
“Man Philliam is the short game 🐐,” one user posted.
“The passion Phil still has is cool af,” this user commented.
“Phil had a rough go out of the bunker at Adelaide,” one fan remarked. “Led to a triple on a par 5 which cost them a chance at team championship. I have never seen him do what he did on that hole after leaving it in bunker a few holes before also.
When will Phil Mickelson compete next?
Phil Mickelson is scheduled to participate in the LIV Golf Singapore event happening at the Sentosa Golf Club (Serapong Course) in Singapore from Friday, May 3 to Sunday, May 5.
Phil Mickelson, a three-time Masters champion, has faced challenges on the Saudi-backed circuit and is yet to secure a victory since the league’s establishment in 2023. With only one top-10 finish in six appearances this season, Mickelson’s performance has been below expectations. Additionally, the recent LIV Golf Adelaide marked the first time a player from his team, HyFlyers GC, claimed the individual title.
Currently, Mickelson holds the 34th position in the LIV Golf season standings, while his team is placed 10th in the team standings.
