Justin Rose goes to extreme lengths with his ‘secret’ weapon at the Masters

Justin Rose is on the hunt for his first ever Masters victory at Augusta National this week, and the Englishman has showed off his ‘secret’ weapon ahead of Thursday’s opening round.

Justin Rose unveiled his cutting-edge recreational vehicle (RV) designed for relaxation and rejuvenation before the commencement of the first major championship of the year at the Masters.

Rose is aiming to secure his inaugural triumph at Augusta National, as he has yet to clinch the prestigious green jacket in his 16 previous appearances. Despite this, the English golfer possesses a commendable track record at the Masters, with only two missed cuts and six top-10 finishes, notably finishing as the runner-up in 2017.

This time, however, the Englishman will undoubtedly be eager to surpass his previous performance. One advantage that might aid him is his reliable mobile therapy vehicle called ‘Bus Rosa’.

During a chat with Golf.com, Rose shared details about his mobile gym. “A few people on tour have caught wind of it, but I’ve always tried to keep it under wraps,” he mentioned about the RV. “I believe there’s a hidden message in the name Sub Rosa.”

Certainly, Sub, if you reverse it, it becomes Bus. Similarly, Rosa can be associated with rose. It signifies a hidden gathering spot. Upon entering the bus, Rose proudly displays his well-equipped kitchen and coffee machine, positioned next to his exercise bike. Additionally, there is a red light therapy bed.

Moving towards the back bedroom, which resembles a typical RV, Rose has incorporated two hydrotherapy pools, one hot and one cold, to assist in his recovery while on tour. Furthermore, he has included an infrared sauna, which the renowned champion utilizes for ‘detoxing’.

Rose makes his way back to Augusta following another impressive performance last year. He managed to secure a tie for 16th place, finishing 10 shots behind the eventual champion, his Ryder Cup teammate Jon Rahm. As a major champion, having won the 2013 U.S. Open, Rose is confident in his abilities despite nearing the end of his playing career. He firmly believes that he still possesses the skills necessary to secure his second victory.

During his speech at Augusta last year, he expressed, “Upon winning my first major, I experienced a significant upward trajectory. It felt like a natural progression. However, it is important to acknowledge that winning championships is not solely a matter of time, as there are exceptional players who have yet to achieve this feat. It’s a distinct situation.”

“I believe that I am undoubtedly more capable now, or at least as capable as I was back then. I wouldn’t say that I am currently trending towards success. Instead, I am in the process of rediscovering my game and, consequently, rebuilding my confidence.”
