Watch: Tiger Woods partakes in hilarious Bridgestone advertisement

Tiger Woods participated in a new commercial for his sponsor Bridgestone Golf. In the video, Woods is “involved” in a funny situation with three other players.

The video was shared on Tiger Woods’ personal X (formerly Twitter) profile. The post has accumulated over 133,000 views within a half-hour.

Titled “Playing a round with Brigestone Golf,” the video advertisement captures the thrilling moment when three players tackle the 18th hole at The Cape Club of Palm City. Amidst the game, one of the players makes a dreadful shot, but another player kindly encourages him to give it another try.

To everyone’s astonishment, the player’s second shot turns out to be extraordinary, and he magically transforms into the likeness of Tiger Woods. The incredible transformation leaves everyone in awe, attributing it to the renowned “second shot pro” phenomenon. Amateur golfers often experience a significant improvement in their second shot, hence the nickname.

Following this, the golfer resembling Tiger Woods takes another unsuccessful third shot. He then reverts back to his original physique and expresses sorrow over no longer being a “15-time Major champion.”

“Now you’re just gonna suck,” jokes one of the other players, ending the video.

Bridgestone Golf is a key sponsor for Woods, along with TaylorMade and, up until recently, Nike.

A look back at Tiger Woods’ most recent advertisements

Woods has a rich background of appearing in promotional videos. Many of these videos were created by Nike, Woods’ primary sponsor for over two decades, and have gained widespread recognition.

Shortly before the debut of the latest Bridgestone video, a TaylorMade video featuring Woods and six other players was also released. In this video, they all showcased their driving accuracy while using the new Qi10 driver.

In “Team America,” Woods, Scottie Scheffler, and Nelly Korda are the representatives, while Rory McIlroy, Brooks Henderson, Charley Hull, and Tommy Fleetwood make up “Team International.” These seven players are the top names in TaylorMade’s sponsorship lineup.

In the video, each player takes two shots, with scores based on proximity to the fairway (Korda took four shots due to one player missing from the “American Team”). In the end, the “International Team” emerged victorious. Notably, Woods had the longest shot, hitting a 349-yard drive.

Woods joined TaylorMade’s promotional video for Christmas 2023, along with the same players as before plus Collin Morikawa.

This time, Woods took on the role of Santa Claus, while the other players became his helpful elves wrapping gifts for kids everywhere.
