Former team owner and F1 insider Eddie Jordan has hinted that Carlos Sainz may join forces with Fernando Alonso at Aston Martin in the 2025 season. This move would pair Sainz with his childhood idol, marking a significant team shuffle.

Sainz’s quest for a new position has been triggered by the news of the 7-time champion’s relocation to Maranello. Jordan’s remarks have sparked speculation among fans and insiders, who are equally thrilled by the possibility of an all-Spanish lineup at Aston Martin.
“The prospect of an all-Spanish Aston Martin team next year shouldn’t come as a surprise,” Jordan stated on the Formula for Success Podcast. “Although I lack concrete evidence, my intuition often sets me apart from others. It does have a certain charm, doesn’t it?”
Jordan also pointed out a situation where Sainz might make a comeback to the Red Bull team, mentioning his past with Toro Rosso (now Visa Cash App RB). He suggested that if Red Bull needed to replace Max Verstappen or Sergio Perez, Sainz could be a top choice.
Don’t forget, he began his career at Toro Rosso.
If Red Bull were to lose someone like Max or if they wanted to replace Perez, it’s safe to say that Carlos would be one of the crucial individuals.
