LIV Golf’s Cameron Smith has chopped off his signature mullet

Cameron Smith has a big couple of weeks of golf ahead, and the Aussie will be a bit more aerodynamic when he walks the fairways at LIV Golf Miami and the Masters.

The 30-year-old leader of Ripper GC in the Saudi-backed LIV Golf League gained recognition for his triumph at the 2022 Open Championship held at St. Andrews, as well as his distinctive mullet haircut. Allow me to rephrase that: his previous distinctive hairstyle.

Smith has recently abandoned his iconic business in the front, party in the back style in favor of a more conservative, spiked appearance in anticipation of his comeback to the golf course this week. The motive behind this change? Simply boredom.

Smith is presently ranked eighth in the LIV standings for the season, having achieved finishes of T8, T15, T41, and T2 thus far. After participating in the 2024 LIV Golf Miami event at Trump National Doral this week, Smith will make his way back to Augusta National. In the previous season, he secured a T-34 finish at Augusta National, following impressive finishes of T2, T10, and T3 in the three preceding years.

It is truly unfortunate, as witnessing the mullet and green jacket combination in Butler Cabin would have been quite a spectacle.
