TIGER WOODS PLAYS GOLF WITH JUSTIN THOMAS AND FRED RIDLEY AT AUGUSTA NATIONAL

Tiger Woods reportedly played a round at Augusta National today with Justin Thomas and Fred Ridley.

Today, Tiger Woods engaged in a round of golf at Augusta National in the company of Justin Thomas and Fred Ridley, the chairman of Augusta National. This strategic move signifies his intensified training for The Masters, the inaugural major tournament of the season, scheduled to take place from 11-14 April.

Woods, aged 48, has been absent from any competitive tournament since he had to withdraw due to illness during the second round of the Genesis Invitational in mid-February.

The renowned 15-time major champion was compelled to step back from The Masters before the final round in 2023, citing an injury caused by plantar fasciitis.

Gary Player and Fred Couples were tied with Woods for the most consecutive Masters cuts made with 23 at the tournament last year.

Following his withdrawal from the Masters, the former World No.1 underwent ankle surgery and decided to take the remainder of the season off for recovery.

In December 2023, he made his comeback to compete in the annual Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas, finishing in 18th place.

Woods also participated in the PNC Championship alongside his son Charlie Woods.

Team Woods finished in the top five.

Tiger Woods to return at 2024 Masters

Woods has been confirmed as a participant in the 2024 Masters scheduled to take place from 11-14 April, as reported by Sports Illustrated journalist Bob Harig. He recently intensified his training by playing a practice round with Thomas and Mr. Ridley at Augusta National on 30 March.

Woods has claimed victory at The Masters five times, emerging triumphant in the years 1997, 2001, 2002, 2005, and 2019.

Jack Nicklaus holds the record for the most green jackets won, with a total of six.

Woods is set to compete in his 26th Masters tournament this coming April.
