Schumacher admits not remembering F1 achievements

Former Formula 1 race winner Ralf Schumacher has revealed how he doesn’t ‘even remember’ most of his achievements in the sport.

During his time in Formula 1, the German driver competed in 11 seasons, achieving six victories and standing on the podium 27 times. He showcased his skills while racing for Jordan, Williams, and Toyota.

At the age of 48, he decided to retire from the sport in 2007, which was just a year after his brother, the legendary seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher, had also bid farewell to Formula 1 for the first time.

Since then, the former Williams driver has found great success in the broadcasting world. He has become a familiar face on Sky Germany’s F1 coverage, captivating audiences with his insights and expertise.

Schumacher has little recollection of results

Schumacher recently shared his experience of racing alongside his brother on the Formula For Success podcast.

They had the privilege of standing together on the podium numerous times, achieving an impressive five family one-twos. This remarkable feat makes them the most successful brothers in the history of Formula 1.

Reflecting on those moments, Schumacher expressed his contentment and happiness with their achievements during their racing days.

In my situation, I didn’t experience happiness frequently. However, upon reflection, I realize that the journey my partner and I embarked on was truly remarkable. If you recall how it all began, you’ll agree that it was an incredible experience. Nevertheless, I believe that someday someone better will come along, and that’s perfectly fine. It’s all part of our history, and I’m not one to dwell on the past too much.

That’s precisely why, on numerous occasions, when people discuss my performance in that race, I don’t even recollect it.
