Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy facing legal action

Klayman’s group, Freedom Watch, says that Woods and McIlroy trying to dodge talking in court makes it seem like they’re guilty.

Lawyer Larry Klayman is edging closer to engaging in discussions with Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy regarding a lawsuit against the PGA Tour. Klayman firmly asserts that no one is exempt from the law. Despite the resolution of disputes between the LIV Golf League and the PGA Tour, Klayman’s legal action against the Tour remains ongoing in the Palm Beach County court. This legal battle originated in June 2022.

Klayman alleges that both the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour attempted to impede the progress of the new LIV Golf Tour and its players. He accuses them of causing harm to golf enthusiasts in Florida. Presently, the court has instructed Woods to provide his statement by January 30, while McIlroy is required to do so by February 23.

Woods faced allegations of evading a subpoena, while McIlroy received his subpoena during his break, which understandably left him frustrated. This incident bears resemblance to a previous situation involving Patrick Reed.

Klayman’s group reaction

Klayman’s group, Freedom Watch, asserts that Woods and McIlroy’s avoidance of court discussions gives the impression of guilt. They contend that when Woods and McIlroy do eventually speak in court, it will reveal their support for the PGA Tour in opposition to the new golf league. They believe that their actions were intended to harm the LIV Golf Tour and its players. The anticipation for Woods and McIlroy’s response, if any, is growing among many individuals.

Furthermore, they allege that the PGA Tour suspended Jon Rahm, a prominent golfer, solely because he expressed interest in participating in the LIV Tour. This serves as another illustration of their efforts to impede the progress of the new league. Jon Rahm’s decision to join LIV Golf has left golf enthusiasts astonished.

Considering the arrival of LIV Golf, it appears that tranquility in the golf industry will not be achieved anytime soon. The situation has become utterly chaotic, and there is a lack of optimism regarding any potential improvements. Such occurrences only exacerbate the existing conflicts within the golf community. Only time will reveal the ultimate outcome and what lies ahead.
