schedule for the 2024 season as well as the prize money for the Promotions Event that will see three players earn a spot in the league next year

LIV Golf will host the inaugural Promotions Event next month as the build-up to the 2024 season begins.

Talor Gooch won the individual title for the 2023 season with three victories and 192 points. He came in first, ahead of Brooks Koepka in third and Cameron Smith in second.

There were players that finished at the bottom of the rankings, even while Gooch was winning the individual title. Four players from the league were demoted by LIV Golf for placing lower than six.

Jediah Morgan, James Piot, Chase Koepka, and Sihwan Kim were all relegated from the LIV Golf series. Lee Westwood and Martin Kaymer also finished in the bottom six of the overall standings but kept their place in the league due to being exempt through their roles as team captains.

As part of the process leading up to the new season, LIV Golf is hosting a Promotions Event in Abu Dhabi. The tournament will take place over three days from December 8-10 over four rounds (72 holes) with two rounds on the final day.

The players who finish in the top three in the tournament will automatically qualify for the 2024 season of LIV Golf. Those relegated this year, as well as other players wishing to enter the league, will have the opportunity to compete in the tournament at Abu Dhabi Golf Club.

LIV Golf has yet to confirm the full field of players who will be taking part, but it has announced the full prize money. The total purse for the tournament is $1.5 million (£1.2 million).

According to Bunkered, the winner of the tournament will receive $200,000 (£1600,000) in prize money. The runner-up will earn $150,000 (£120,000), while third place will receive $100,000 (£80,000).

LIV Golf also confirmed the full schedule for the 2024 season, which will begin in February. Mayakoba, Mexico will host the first event of the year on February 2, before the league heads to Las Vegas the following week on February 8.

Greg Norman, CEO of LIV Golf, explained why he thinks the 2024 season can build on what he regards as a successful first year for the league.

“According to Norman, via the LIV Golf website, “LIV Golf is the truly global golf league that the sport and its fans deserve.” “We’re excited to reveal an amazing schedule of events that demonstrates our dedication to bringing elite competitors and players to new and recurring areas each year.

It’s a huge task to start a new league, but we’re working hard to build on the success of our first full season in 2023. Our objective has always been to establish a global competition that spurs advancement and draws new followers to the sport we adore. LIV Golf is more powerful than ever, and we will surpass that objective even in the upcoming season.
